The Arbitrary Data Codex
Drawings / projections, 2011 - 2013
The Arbitrary Data Codex is a collection of 363 line drawings informed by the practice of Fractography (wiki). The drawings illustrate the strength and fragility of a given volume or surface. They are envisioned as a taxonomy of patterns, metrics, and risk maps of arbitrary structures and volumes. The reversed negative drawings (white on black) are used in video projections. The codex is available online at arbitrarydata.tumblr.com
