Macbeth Morse

The piece is created by translating passages from Shakespeare’s Macbeth into Morse code, installing and broadcasting them on FM and SW radio frequencies. The work addresses Language as a hybrid system by translating one of its richest creations into the most elemental rendition, while retaining its melodramatic tone. Over the years different sections/renditions of Macbeth Morse have been ‘performed’ in several media festivals and galleries across the world: from Paris to Rome, to Athens, to Berlin, Edinburgh, Kansas City, Penryn (UK), and Miami —to all the puzzled sailors and nightly listeners...
